Current Projects
Streamliners works with clients in New Zealand and Australia, in a range of sectors including farming, manufacturing, infrastructure, health, and education. We've described some of our current projects below.
Farming

Landpower – CLAAS Harvest Centres

Landpower distributes and services Claas and other brands of forage harvesting equipment through a network of branches in Australia and New Zealand. The branches are supported with sophisticated software systems, well proven business processes, and training packages.

Streamliners has worked with Landpower for over fifteen years developing and maintaining the online manuals and training resources that have contributed to Landpower’s Australasian success.

Manufacturing and Distribution

PlaceMakers NZ

PlaceMakers have stores throughout New Zealand and for 30 years have been supplying builders and tradespeople with everything needed to build and fit-out a house or commercial building. The stores are run in partnership, and it’s vital that owner-operators and staff at each store use the shared systems optimally. Store size and staff numbers vary dramatically across the network.

Streamliners has worked with the PlaceMakers national office team over the last eight years to progressively refine and improve the operations manual. The manual is produced as a web-based interactive document and also serves as a training resource. This document is used by all levels of staff within the PlaceMakers network of stores. The manual is regularly updated, and is deployed via the PlaceMakers intranet.

Health

GPDocs

GPDocs is a smart online system for managing general practice policies and procedures. We provide a core set of documentation, work with each practice to tailor it to their circumstances, and publish it to an individualised, password protected website. This is backed up with regular emails advising practices of any upcoming changes to legislation or accreditation standards, and reminding them which topics are up for review next. We then take care of all changes, updates, and ongoing research to keep their policies and procedures up-to-date - freeing up staff to focus on patients, not paperwork.

Capital & Coast District Health Board

The Preferred Medicines Working Group at Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB), working in partnership with senior clinical staff, is responsible for producing and maintaining the Preferred Medicines List (PML). The PML is a collaborative venture between CCDHB and Hutt Valley DHB and is designed to guide junior medical staff of all disciplines within the hospitals with diagnoses and clinical decision-making. The PML has to be 100% accurate, up-to-date, and easy to access and use.

The Streamliners team works with clinicians and an editorial group at Capital & Coast to plan the document architecture (for publication to paper, web, and smart phone), design the templates for each publishing format, manage the content in a single-source database, publish it, manage feedback, and perform reviews and updates.

Canterbury District Health Board

Canterbury District Health Board plans and funds health services for 530,000 people, and also owns and runs a large tertiary teaching hospital and several other secondary hospitals. It employs over 5000 staff, all of whom need to follow organisation-wide policy guidelines, and site- and department-specific administrative processes and clinical protocols.

The Streamliners team works with clinicians and management throughout the DHB on a range of administrative and clinical publications that are used daily by staff. The Streamliners writing team ensures the content in its publications is well written, consistently styled and laid out, and easy to access and use.

Turanga Health

Turanga Health, based in Gisborne, Turanganui-a-Kiwa, is a Maori health organisation providing a range of Primary Health services including general practice, mental health, disability support, population and personal health services. There are approximately 60 staff including 12 nurses and a general practitioner.

The Streamliners team works with subject matter experts at Turanga Health to produce an easy-to-use online knowledge base containing policies, procedures, and service outlines for their staff to use.

Pegasus Health

Pegasus Health is a primary care organisation whose members include over 110 general practices, pharmacies, and other community care providers. Pegasus Health provides information systems, business and technical support, clinical education and training, and clinical services to support the activities of its members.

The Streamliners team has worked with Pegasus Health for over a decade on a range of manuals and other publications. Most recently Streamliners produced online help and video training guides for an electronic referral system that Pegasus Health is rolling out to general practices and other community health providers throughout the South Island of New Zealand.
